Chard Chénier exhibits his cosmological paintings since 1971. In 1976 the Canada Council awarded him a Painting Grant and his book of line drawings entitled FACES was printed by Intermedia Press (Vancouver, BC). In 1993 he won First Prize at the Grand-Prix International de Montréal. Chard Chénier has had numerous one man shows in various cities (from San Francisco to Tel Aviv) including, in 1996, a one-man show at the Washington Arts Club in the Munro Museum in Washington DC.. He was born in Saint-Boniface, Manitoba in 1947. Presently he lives and works in Montréal, Canada.
