Help end world hunger

My English editorial with a French accent.

What I like in life, is to understand human beings behaviors, starting with mine. I’m searching for being more aware, more free and more happy. My job is to help others to do the same. On this path, one of my great satisfactions, is to illustrate with humor/emotions, little/big human shortcomings that can become starting points for little/big changes… It’s that simple!

I have no drawing training. I read a lot of French/Belgian comic books when I was young. I was fan of Hergé, Goscinny, Gotlib, Reiser, Franquin… and so many others. At 7, 8 years old, I think I was drawing a lot. Then I entered into the fog of the performance and I concluded that I wasn’t good enough to continue… It took me 30 years to start again.

My goal is to simply share my unpretentious strips, to connect with others, to dialogue, to exchange, to receive feedback (constructive feedback, thanks!) and many other unexpected things that, I hope, will emerge from this blog.

My lifelong enemy, it’s the Big Internal Critic. What’s that? Well, this old habit inside of me that makes me evaluate every thing in two categories - either it’s super good or it’s super bad - and makes me paralyzed, loose my energy, my joy… and makes me dread other’s criticism. But I have to tell you that I prefer being criticized than alone and ignored. Also, the boss, it’s me. So the big internal critic, he’s going to lay low, turn it off and other translations for “la mettre en veilleuse” (French slang expression!). And that’s that!

Finally, I love the idea of this global all over the place communication, made possible thanks to the tool of internet and that, used with vigilance and respect of others, can participate to make a difference in a world that really need it. And that’s important for me too.

My intent is to post strips as regularly and frequently as possible (but I need to learn to master the technique to find my rhythm). Also I want to do it in English because I have the assumption that my English level will be accessible to my French network! And if it’s not, I’ll try to post in French too (or you will have to learn English like I did 6 years ago, when I moved in California, but hopefully you will suffer less than I did)! However, I ask for your indulgence for possible grammatical/syntactic/spelling mistakes, or old phrasing that you can only find in a French/English dictionary…

Thank you for reading this editorial. I’m eager to start the journey!
