General Artist Statement
Most of my photography playfully juxtaposes nature with the man-made and the unnatural. My work reflects on the question of how we, as humans, connect with the natural world in today’s unnatural society. Also present in my work is the implication of a performance in the shooting process. This performance is not directly seen but rather implied, leaving the viewer to reflect on the creation of the work.
About The Artist
Amanda Arcuri grew up in Maple. Ontario where she started her love for the arts and particularly her interest in photography. She is currently pursuing her interests and studying photography at Ryerson University.
